Elder Ben

Well, I'm writing today because our pday got switched.  We have a temple trip today, so they arranged our pday to match up with it.

Sounds like everyone in the family is doing great! The running and soccer games continue.  And Manti life is Manti life, but Alecia will be visiting, so that should be great. How long is she going to be there? Sounds like Gabe needs to find someone who owns a nice car and will take him on a ride. Jacob, are you going to start with real estate this fall?  How did Elder Coburn's mission farewell go?  Kenya sounds like a crazy mission if you ask me. 100% different then anything he has experienced in Manti.

Family and friends, I'm not even sure where to start with this week.  As the last letter explained, we were having a super good week (week before last). The best as far as the work goes since I have been here. We had high hopes for a lot of people and things to start progressing in the work.  Then this last week everything just tanked around us.  The work literally went to a dead stop.  Out of the two people that we had on date for baptism, we can't even find one anymore, and the other said that she didn't want to meet with us for the time being (she likes what we have taught her and she says that she believes it all).  For some reason, she said she just needs time. Time for what?  As far as lessons went this past week....ya...we started of on Friday morning with only one lesson for the entire week. And that was a member lesson!  Luckily, over the next several days we improved slightly and rounded out the week at a total of 6 lessons!  Seriously, it was a bit crazy to see.  Literally, all of our lessons fell through, tracting yielded NO results for the week, and even our backup plans fell through.  Through all of this, I know that there is something that the Lord is trying to teach us, but we have yet to figure it out.  Great thing is, we shouldn't have a problem improving our lesson count this week.  Sheesh.  Good news is that the rest of the district (besides us) is still tearing it up.  One companionship rounded out the week with 38 lessons taught, had 8 new investigators, and put 4 people on date. I think they are leading the mission right now.

Other then that, not to much to report about last week. I'm still having good health (well kind of, one day we were feed 3 dinners so that isn't helping my health), good faith, and good energy, and a good family.  With these four things what else do I need?  God IS great!
